About the Course

This course equips NASP Social Prescribing Champions across the health system with a clear understanding of social prescribing and its role in addressing the social determinants of health and health inequalities. Participants will explore how social prescribing supports a proactive, preventive approach to healthcare, gain clarity on how it can be implemented in different settings, and deepen their understanding of the role of Social Prescribing Link Workers. The course also introduces the purpose and value of the NASP Social Prescribing Champions Scheme, helping champions to confidently advocate for and promote social prescribing in their communities.
